This historic painting is about the brave, fearless and courageous Mai Bhago.
After leaving Anandpur Sahib, Guru Gobind Singh proceeded towards Ropar. The Mughul forces were chasing him. Mai Bhago, a brave devotee of the Guru was also looking for the Guru along with a small group of Sikhs. On the way, some Mughul soldiers stopped them and asked about Guru Gobind Singh. Mai Bhago replied that to reach the Guru, they would have to accept her challenge. She fought fiercely and killed many soldiers.
